OK, I am a bit late, but will provide the platform, if you like, for another contest.

Entry is up until the first storm is named or the minute June 1 starts. 12:01am 6-01-2011

Note: This years tie breaker will be the date of the last named storm, not the first.

We need at least 50 folks participating to do the work. I will be, once again, looking for volunteers to crunch the graphs for us from the database that will be generated from your picks.

2011 Atlantic Hurricane Season Prognostication contest!

Here ya go weather fans...... Your chance to tell us what you think the Atlantic Hurricane season will look like.

You pick the following in your post

Total number of named storms

Total number of Hurricanes

Total number of Major Hurricanes

Total number of CAT 5 Hurricanes

The tie breaker will be -- Your pick on the date of the last named storm in 2011. That means the date it is named.

Please place your picks in the blog and I will quote you and lock them in just like we did last year and the year before.

Note: things are busy and locks will be done in the evenings for the most part.

Look at the past few years contests if you need a tutorial. Use the format so it is not difficult cutting it into a database. Thanks ~
