Models are still not backing off development of a Surface low just north of Puerto Rico moving into the Bahamas!

All is quite and Nothing appears to be developing anytime in the next 7 days. Enjoy the Memorial Weekend. Remember what it is about! Nothing Looming currently as Shear is just too strong across the Tropics although the waters are starting to boil and i don't like the way the Bermuda High is currently in place. Its really in a bad spot for the South Eastern part of the ConUs!

Models for the most part have backed off Tropical Development in the BOC and pulls most of the moisture into the Pacific it seems. Although the GFS still pulls a Tropical System together and a good size one toward Texas in about 8 days. I don't put a lot of credience into something that far out. Time to just watch over the next few days as Shear "is dropping" across the Tropical Atlantic Development Areas!

The GFSLR (LOng Range) Model is hinting of a Tropical System in the Gulf of Mexico near the PanHandle of Florida about July 18th. Bares some watching but, i really don't put much faith in anything from a model that far out. Other wise all models show nothing over the next 7 days. The ITCZ appears to be pulling further North and the waters appear to warm enough to support a tropical system now off the coast of Africa. Could see the beginning of the Cape Verde systems coming soon!!!!

We now have Invest 96L in the Golf of Mexico just off the Florida Coast! I really don't see 96L becoming much of a threat because of the Shear caused by an ULL to its NW. The ULL is currently venting 96L and allowing it to get somewhat together. But, the ULL will not allow 96L to get to hurricane Strenght unless it gets directly under the ULL and i don't see that happening. There is a good chance it might become a Tropical Storm before making Landfall currently the models are show near the Florida/Alabame line. I believe a further West Landfall will occur near Louisiana/Mississippi line as the High Pressure from the Bermuda High will push it further West. The further West it moves the stronger this will become as it will then possibly duck under the ULL and become less Sheared. We need to watch this very close.

Models are showing something coming together in the very Southern Caribbean, but move the LLC into the Pacific for development.

Hello everyone! Invest 90L has not improved much today, but i still give it a small chance when the wave arrives toward the Western Tip of Cuba in the NW Caribbean. Shear is forecast to remain very low in that area as well. Still need to keep a watch and see! ALSO, take a look below at the NOGAPS and WRF Models as they are showing a hint of our truly first development from an African Wave. Need to watch to see if other models start coming into play as well.

Not writing off 90L just yet. Maybe a comeback coming!!!!

Invest 90L is a little better organized this morning. If you look at the Graphics at the Hurricane Storm Center Tab, you will see that the 850mb Vorticity has increased. Divergence has also improved a ton! But, Convergence is missing in the lower levels. Without Convergence 90L is not a very organized system in the lower levels. It might take a day or 2 to get the Lower Levels organized for 90L to make it to Tropical Drepression status. The NHC has now given it a 20% to do so over the next 48hrs. That time line is about right as probably 72hrs is more likely at its current weak status. I do believe we will see a TD from 90L as conditions from Shear will be very favorable it appears as it approaches the Gulf of Mexico. If you live from Louisiana to Mexico, one needs to monitor the progress of 90L. Good chance after 72hrs it will become a named storm. I don't know if a Hurricane will be possible as time might become a factor.
