05:50, 68F, fog in pasture. still. roosters crowing, puppy yelping, dogs barking..
08:05, medium tide rising at CK, upper 70's, wind east, clocking to the west through the day.. 5-7 knts. seas, 1 ft. swell. went trawling offshore. catches were low except for 1 trawl thorugh the seagrass behind north key. we got over a dozen flounder, small to doormat size, and quite a few YOY speckled sea trout. those little trout, once they get passed the mottled stage, look exactly like the big ones except small.. also caught the usual seagrass critters - pinfish, pigfish, filefish, pipefish, uncle eds, anchovies, etc..
took awhile to work all those fish up. seagrass flats are teaming with life - the nurseries of the sea. but above the surface, visible sealife sparse - one sea turtle sighting. otherwise the usual gulls and pelicans.. off the out islands, the water was clear beyond 3 meters..
the green sea - with the tide going in, the suwannee's influence was moderate.
16:00, full high tide at #4 bridge. no one on fishing dock..
16:40, mid 80's at the farm. partly cloudy, partly sunny. brisk breeze from the north.. puppy was yelping for food. kibble and milk fixed that. walked house dogs. chili for supper. got 2 eggs.
21:10, 78F, north breeze. partly cloudy, partly starry. the moon should return soon..
