Miami has the Dolphins, the Greatest Football team.
We take the ball from goal to goal like no ones ever seen.
We're in the air we're on the ground. We're always in control.
And when you say Miami, You're talking Super Bowl! (one can dream)
Sun. Sept 12, 2010: Opening Day for NFL ... FOOTBALL!!!
We are so hoping for a great season this year with the Dolphins... it has been so long since we were "playoff" material and actually had a "post season"... I hope this is the year. Go Dolphins!!!
Oh My Goodness, I do not know how to react any more when the Dolphins actually Win a Game!!!! YIPEE ,
YEEAH HAW !!!
WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!! MIAMI DOLPHINS!!!!
Sept 25, 2010:
In honor of Bill's Birthday today, just on a lark, I checked to see if the Florida Fire Index (drought maps) had finally got to working again; they had been down since April 19th. And Guess what, they are! So I will start putting them back in my blog header once again.
We have missed them so much!!!

Sat. Sept 18, 2010:
According to the U.S. NAVAL Observatory, Wednesday, Sept 22, 2010: at 11:09 pm EDT,
we will abserve the Autumnal Equinox. At least everywhere on the CONUS except South Florida. LOL
Sat. Sept 11, 2010: Sad day for America. But it is also my hubbys birthday so we want to wish him a happy happy birthday. It is also Dr Master's 50th Birthday!
Monday, Sept 6, 2010:
Happy Labor Day to you all and I did respond on prev blog to all of the posts so far today.
Decided while I had a little time I needed to open a new blog thread...it is September now.
Mon. Sept 20, 2010:
I finished my latest painting "Framed by Nature" .. I also added the other 3 paintings here for comparison.
Sept 6, 2010: My latest painting. Not really happy about this one...did not turn out as I hoped but it is done... We will see.
Still will need to take to art class next week to get feedback..
Sept 20, 2010. I finished this painting today and got my art teacher's approval tonight so I could sign it. This one I finally started feeling comfortable so I must keep on painting as often as I can. This is another one from the Everglades.
My completed painting of the Everglades Marsh. I painted this in July 2010.
Finished early August. A tropical sunset painting of a lone palm. I hope to do a series of tropical sunset and/or sunrise paintings in the near future.

Really like your "Framed By Nature". You nailed the focal point and horizon line in the composition. Very easy to stare at for awhile.
Lone Palm is still my favorite because I like bright colors.
LOL- too many biscuit crumbs under the keys!!
Comments and Graphics - Fall and Autumn Layouts - Photobucket
Gardengrl, thank you very much... I tend to favor the brighter color paintings myself...
Sandi, I turned my keyboard upside and shook it out but it was pretty clean! LOL
Pros and Sandi, thank you for the Autumn graphics... I refuse to belive that tonight at 11pm it will be Fall! No Way is summer almost over. ...actually it is not here in SE Florida, only difference is our days are getting shorter, been noticing that last month...now they will be shorter and dark will be longer...that is depressing, I love the long days of summer..
Happy Wednesday.
Last night Pam (Greg's wife) called and told me to check Miami Herald newspaper today becaues the boys picture may be in it somewhere... an article about one of those "pop up stores" that come around just certain times of the year... they were at one of the Halloween costume stores in Plantation after school yesterday when the newspaper reporter talked to them and took some pictures of the boys.
anyway, I figured, if they are in the paper it will probably be back in the local sections or buried in the center of the paper...
but I had to see... I get the Sun Sentienal delivered to my house so had to run to the corner 7-11 Store to get a copy of the Miami Herald...
I reach down to grab a top copy and I see my Grandson's face staring back at me on the Top Center of the Front Page! His name, his age he is in one of those cartoon Buzz Lightyear costumes... LOL
People wonder how I can be so "open" out on the blogs about my kids and grandkids and their identies (I only use first names with their picture)... well, I tell you .. my kids and grandkids are always in the newspaper or local magazines for something.. all of us, our pictures and names are out in the public all the time....we are already "out there"
Too funny to see grandson, Cole, on the front page of the Miami Herald this morning! LOL
AN EARLY HAPPY AUTUMNAL EQUINOX!
(Officially begins 11:09 pm but who's counting!)
This autumn graphic below symbolizes my
VERY over-fed squirrels in my HEAVILY
acorn laden or carpeted backyard.
CRUNCH AND KAPOW HAVE BECOME
COMMONPLACE AROUND HERE. LOL!
So glad that summer-like weather is
ushering in our official first day of
fall in Mass.! My ole cold weather
weary bones truly appreciate those milder temps! LOL!
MAY YOU AND YOURS HAVE A
GREAT DAY AND SEASON!
I am sooo happy summer is over. I am enjoying the nice evenings that we have now. :)
I think I like the Everglades Marsh picture the best. I love what you did with the water. It looks like it is moving. Even possibly a fish coming to the surface over in the left hand corner.
Looks like we need to closely watch 95. Will it hit you or us. Humm....need to pay close attention.
You were in the basement so I thought I would pull you up. Hope you have a good work day. Hubby and I will be off looking a commercial property. Today is Thursday with hubby.
Ogal, thank you so much for both of your comments since I was last here..Yes, we woke up to rain this morning at my house and pretty heavy rain on my drive in to work at 6:30am.
figures we have 80% chance of rain today; I finally had to add water to the pool yesterday because no real measurable rainfall in over 5-6 days and it needed water. thank you so much.
Todd, Hello back at ya, yes been awhile, I hope to check into to your blog again soon.
Bills, I know the Herald does seem to cover Broward better than SS. Actually SS caught up with Pam and the boys last year and took some pictures but they never published the article.. we called to find out why they said another story took it's place. Sure hope some of today's rain falls on your house and yard.
Mass, good to see you and your cheerful words and graphics! Today is actually the real First full day of Fall... and the Harvest Moon is tonight..but it is rainy here so probably will not be able to see it's big beautiful rise tomorrow morning.
A lot going on so not sure when I can return.
Hope we have a few days before 95L really gets organized and we have to really watch it as it developes..
You all enjoy your Thursday!
been sort of busy this morning at work, then spent some time on master's blog to see what was going on with Matthew..
Matt may just dissipate over Mexico and loss it strength to rejuv if it ever gets back over the water...the forcast 5 day track only takes it 3 days....right now the models have no clue.
maybe we will get lucky on this one also.
Oh, my house got about 1 1/4" of rain yesterday..I think most of SE Florida got at least that much or more.. hope Bills did at her house.
Did you finally get some rain?
Got to go for now.
Happy Friday everyone!!!
Hope your Friday flies by.
Oh it is raining here right now :)
Well since you posted that, we are not even sure if Matthew will make it off land alive; the 5 day track does not go beyond 3 days. and now they are talking about a Nicole coming up next.
All the experts keep saying we will have some serious storms in the next few weeks, but they have been saying that for the past 2 months.
We will just be prepared and keep watch.
I sure hope those east of I95 got some of this rain today because now we have had 2 days in a row of heavy rain and enough! LOL
Hi everyone, home and just have a minute.
Checked my rain guage and my house is now almost at 2 1/2" of rain from yesterday morningu ntil current.
Will see if we get more tonight.
Weston has lots of standing water everywhere even where it does not belong. we have water standing in our streets and the pool is full.. of course because I put water in it Wed!
Oh well.
so please feel free to leave Bills a Happy Birthday Message here if you want.
Happy Happy Birthday to Bills... I know it is a little early but just in case I do not get her early in the morning! LOL
Bills, I hope for your pre-birthday present your house got some of this rain!!!

I don't think my mom painted a lot, but my aunt, now that lady has some talent. My mom has a few of her paintings, and if I can ever remember to take my camera to her house I'll nab one for you.
I'll take my mom's too - maybe this weekend. Our summer finally arrived and I'm sure we'll be out enjoying it!
It is Saturday and the last day of the week for you!
I do hope you didn't have to queue for your coffee and donuts this morning! LOL
Ps - I shall get a bottle of something red open, and breathing, ready for you later:))) LOL
I will make a point of going to your blog to see your garden pictures. I have not done anything yet to my garden this fall; just haven't been in the mood to make it a priority as of yet.. too many other things taking up my time...I would love to see your aunt and Mother's paintings.
Hello Sandi,
Yes we do have a queue sometimes at our Dunkin Donutes, even at 6:30am on a Saturday morning. Today only 2 people were in front of me ... I got the big "Box of Joe" that serves 10 cups and 2 dozen donutes for my team. Usually I let them wait until 8am and the break room coffee is made...but I do not like that coffee...but this morning I decided to spend the extra $15 and bring in good coffee for them also. I love my team, they are really good.
Oh yes, I will be enjoying some red tonight...when I go from Wed, Thur and Fri evenings without a glass I am more than ready for one on Sat evening!
And this week has had so much going on .... Ellen's been sick and the routine gets out of wack and things do not go as planned... and of course, work gets in my way because I could help out more if I did not have this job...and this job is so far down on my priority list... as everyone knows I am so ready to retired, seems I mentally left this job about 3 years ago, just do not have the financial side in place just yet.. maybe soon.
Anyway, 11 1/2 more hours to go until my weekend begins.
Enjoy your SAturday!
Happy Happy Birthday to Bills!!!!
Myspace Graphics
Happy Birthday Bills, hope your day is filled with rain because I know that would make you happy. Just do something special just for you!
Just think on your birthday Lindsay Lohan got out of jail one more time. Last i heard there was absolutely no bail, but she got bail. Humm....what money will do.
Enjoy the weekend
Myspace Graphics
Ogal, I heard on news last night before I went to sleep that Lindsey L will NOT get bail this time...but this morning on way to work.. the judge did give her bail... that is just not right...she and "Paris" should not be treated different from others who go to jail for the same crime.
and for Bill's birthday I checked them this morning and they now are updating again.
and as you can see,
South Florida is very "GREEN" as we should be with all the rain the past few days.
Central and North Florida in the middle "yellow/gold"
and the Panhandle in red and in need of some rain.
We have missed those two maps in the header for so long now, so happy to have them back.
Matthew may not be a threat after all. I still am gonna keep my eyes down in that direction.
Yes, not sure what is going to happen but like all season long the models are showing "7 days out) a system coming this way. LOL
but none have made it yet. hope we continue to stay lucky.
Hi Gamma!
I guess "it's not easy being green" in your region of Florida lately. Wish there was an equal water disbursement plan available throughout the country. It's certainly been an incredibly wild weather ride for some this past season. Hope that the coming months will be kinder to us all.
I just love your accomplished artwork posted above. It looks like you're really getting back into the swing of things again! Those paintings correlate nicely with the marvelous tropical-like weather we're having today. Just wish we could bottle the temps, that usually go along with it, throughout the winter. Well, I can always go back and look at your lovely artwork and reminisce till next year. SMILES!
Hope you and yours have a grand weekend and all that rain you've been having lately will finally abate!!
And Hi Gamma!
I just got back from the Community Garden I volunteer at. We set up a bunch of new areas for people to grow stuff. Lots of lifting and moving logs around..some good exercise. I'm sooo ready for a nap now. Thankfully, my Noles don't play until 3:45 or so..so I have a little time.
I just got home for my lunch break.. and I went out back to empty my rain guage, I did notlook at it this morning and last night I told you I had over 2 1/2 " from Thur morn thru Fri night... well, I gues it either rained here this morning or in the middle of the night because I just dumped
over 3" of rain since Thur morning until Noon on Saturday.
And while I do not know for sure,I do know the Weston area around I75 and Weston Road probably got double that amount, they have water overflowing the lakes and berms in all the swells and it is not going anywhere..
and it had just gone down a little since the last flooding we got early last week.
I am sure when the drought maps updates in the next few hours we may be "blue" down here in my neck of the woods.LOL
Mass, thank you so much and what a lovely flower!!! enjoy your nice cool temps.
Jeff, that sounds like you got a lot done. At least you are getting your garden beds in shape now so once we get the "green light"you can get the seeds and plants installed!
I really need to find time to work on my garden beds and soil...
OK, not much time left so will catch you all later.
in the panhandle which is not good at all..
and the green has spread up thru central Florida.
Central and South Florida will be in a world of hurt
if we get a wet tropical storm thru our area anytime soon.
Sorry Gams - I drank it all except this glass .... which I spilt !!! LOL
Time for bed this side of the Pond.... Have a great night!
Too funny,
oh well, I am SURE I can find another bottle for me over on this side of the Pond! LOL
Sweet Dreams!!!
Love having the Drought Map back. I come to your blog every day to check the radars you have posted and am glad the map is back.
Tho' I am only 50 miles east of OGal(and where I lived for 20+ years), I do not get the weather she does. Very little rain. I think its the topography of the Cape and just where I am. Sea Breeze sets up west of me, right over her. I miss the afternoon thunderstorms.
'Cause I love the weather!
Watching the tropics, looks like an interesting week.
Do you live close to the ocean? down here any place east of I95 gets about half as much rain and thunderstorms as we do west of I95 and the further west we are the more rain we get...
Hope you get some rain soon.. if a storm does come by down here we will be flooded.
Thank you!!! I am not fond of "late" games but it is what it is and we will be up and cheering and watching our Dolphins.
Oh the Jets are a big rival down here.. hubby and I went to a Jets/Dolpin game once and fights broke out all over the place! LOL
Thanks for rooting for the Dolphins tomorrow!
Yes I do, about 3 miles east of I95. Just west of I95 is the St. Johns River. Makes for a whole new weather dynamic. Its a sea of grass for 25 miles west. I am about 1 mile east of the Intercoastal and 5 miles from the Atlantic, as the crow flies.
Whole new weather pattern to learn.
Gonna get a pedicure tomorrow...may go Aqua in support of the Fins! :)
LOL I am home and have my first glass of Red..
yes, I still have my Dolphin Aqua toes and we keep winning.. I am actually getting use to them now and may do it again next pedi!!!
but I did buy a beef roast I am putting in the oven with the potatoes, onions, carrots and mushrooms, etc..and let it roast all day so it will be nice and tender for dinner. I love those "entire meals in a pot"!
and Dolphins have a late game tonight at 8pm.
So I will return later once I am really up and about.
Enjoy your Day!
Having Roast Beast today with all the trimmings? If it wasn't so far, I'd be ringing your doorbell this afternoon, fork in hand! LOL
I haven't fixed one since late winter/early spring. I hate using the oven in hot weather.
Dad will be happy. Alabama won yesterday. It was a close game with Arkansas. (Sorry, Gams!) He will watch pro football but prefers college. He likes Clemson, Alabama and will watch USC (ARGH!) games.
He does like his Braves baseball.
